Sunlight brings out bright colors in Sempervivums. The above pictures were taken in spring and that is when the colors show their best. If you order these in winter, you will not likely see the full colors as shown. Sempervivums change colors in wintertime and do not look the same as they do in the spring/summer. This is mother nature. Cooler temps bring out different colors in Sempervivums.

Hardy Zones 4-9 or indoors

Indoors, Hens Chicks should be grown in a sunny window and watered when dry. These plugs vary in size from the size of a nickel to a quarter. You will receive a variety of sizes as some plugs are a smaller variety than others. Some of the cobweb type of varieties tend to be a smaller plugs as that is how they grow. These plugs are not suitable to be handed out like a party favor, they need to be planted in something.
